September 2023 Vedic and Western Astrology: Benefic Stations, Outer Planet Tenth Harmonic Configuration

This month has a few pretty suprises, and then some potentially magnificient portals to greatness.  Two benefic planets make stations on September 3 and 4, Venus and Jupiter.  Venus turns direct after some month retrograding, perhaps making the getting along with others game a bit harder; then Juptier turns retrograde for a few the rest of the year, turning direct again on December 30.

Jupiter Retrograde 2022

Jupiter retrograde is not much to get worrried about, except perhaps if you like to make a big show, you tend to magnify or exaggerate things, or you regularly think you can do anything.  All of those modes may deliver extra helpings of unpleasing consequences.  The ego deflationary process can be a painful thing, trying to double down after the rebukes, disappointments, and other letdowns doesn’t work well.  Credibility is a commodity, precious, good to bank for the proper time to spend.  LIke any investment, luck alone is not enough to get that expected positive return. Due dilligence and hard work promises a far better return.  Credibility is not stolen, faked or borrowed, it’s generated within.

Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto Tenth Harmonic Configuration

Yet, in September 2023 we have a moment where what I termed a “charismatic supernova” will shine for a brief moment on Sept 11.  Not many will have spotted it, but Mars, Jupiter and Pluto make rare tenth-harmonic aspect to each other.  Not many astrologers pay attention to deciles, quntiles, trideciles and biquintiles (36, 72, 108, and 144 degrees). Luckily I do.

From Septeber 9 to 11, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto form aspects that are multiples of 36 degrees to each other.  Jupiter quintiles (72) Saturn, and trideciles (108) Pluto, and Mars makes biquintiles (144) and trideciles to all of them.  The Mars-Saturn biquintile occurs on Sept 9, just a bit early, but on Sept 11 Mars, Jupiter and Pluto make very precise 10H aspects to each other.

You can see the “apex” of each configuration, with Mars and Pluto as the focal point.  I scarce have words to describe this configuration over time, except “charismatic supernova” and the Mars-Saturn part gives great focus and energy to the entire configuration, quite in contradistinction to the Jupiter retrograde section I described above.

On September 22 we get a sort of echo of the above configuration as Mars makes biquintile to Uranus and sesquiquadrate to Saturn.  As I described it below:
