Astrology Predictions January 2024: Celestial Navigation, Defiance and Unrest
by Curtis Burns,

Astrology Predictions for January 2024 and Some Words about 2024

Happy new year to all.  The end becomes the new beginning.  Life is an eternal wheel turning.  We either revolve with the wheel, or we become the wheel itself.

The astrological configurations for 2024 are rather unremarkable.  There are no major configuration events that are anywhere near the first months of 2020, which was such a pivotal year for humanity. However, I have much to say about January 2024 itself, just a few paragraphs down this article.

This is not to say that that things on the world scene will remain static in 2024; i.e. no new major developments.  One just has to acknowledge that we have multiple growing war fronts in the world right now, there is a very unappealing election coming up with Donald Trump (presumably) and Biden, economic developments are not encouraging at all, and climatologically we are seeing more and more escalation.  The trends are looking anything but positive now.

Just see the trends and adjust yourself accordingly with what your conclusions determine.  You are, after all, the captain of your own ship.

Astrology as Celestial Navigation

The captain is also the navigator, using the framework of the eternal stars, to weather the assaulting, but transitory storms and currents, and the darkness and vastness of ignorance.  You chart the course, having determined the destination.  Explorers trusted their instincts, but depended on the Sun, Moon and stars.

It may be an overused metaphor, but astrology essentially is the celestial navigation of our lives.  Perhaps the ultimate form of realism; thoughts and opinions may waver, but the movements of the heavenly bodies and their timing are beyond speculation or opinion.

Having said all of that, I can see one very clear turning point coming up in January 2024.  It is of very short term and significance, but very clear indeed.

Astrology of Defiance and Unrest in January 2024

In the interval between January 23 and 27 we have the conjunction of Mercury and Mars in sidereal Sagittarius falling right along the axis of the fixed stars Vega and Sirius, just as Uranus turns stationary direct in sidereal Aries, then the Sun makes an exact square to Jupiter, and it’s a full moon.

The chart I’m displaying is about midpoint in time giving you an idea of what will be occurring.

Astrology Predictions for January 2024 Vedic and Western

Timeline of unfoldment:

  1. Mars opposes Sirius January 23 as well as the Moon there.
  2. Mercury opposes Sirius January 25
  3. Mars conjuncts Vega January 25
  4. Mercury conjuncts Vega January 26
  5. Uranus turns direct January 27
  6. Sun squares Jupiter January 27
  7. The full moon occurs on January 27

The chief factor definitely will be Uranus turning direct, which has a very strong social and ideological effect on humanity.  Sometimes its activity coincides with sudden and disruptive events.

As I summarize the configuration in the day-by-day section below: “defiance and unrest”.  I urge everyone to make best use of the time to achieve a greater degree of freedom from anti-individualistic forces and thought.  Freedom (and happiness) begins in the mind.

March 2024: A World without Equinoxes or Solstices

In March we come to the Vernal Equinox, when for about a month night and day are of about equal length, hence the word equinox.  There is one day when they are exactly equal and that is the Vernal Equinox, March 20. It is thereafter that one starts to gain dominance, for the Northern Hemisphere it is the day, while in the Southern it is night.  For the Southern their part of the globe actually moves away from the sun, hence the decreased light.
