Some Moments Greater Than Others
by Curtis Burns,

Total Solar Eclipse Supermoon Conjunct the Vernal Equinox; March 17 to 31, 2015

During this period we have our semi-annual eclipse occurrence , the new and full moons occur at close proximity to the ecliptic plane that they seem to block each other out; literally eclipsing each other. This particular eclipse on March 20 occurs at the intersection of the ecliptic and the celestial equator, the Vernal Equinox. Basically it is a total solar eclipse on an equinox date, one of the two days of the year that there is equal duration of day and night.

Vernal Equinox

It’s the very slow movement (one sign every 2,166 years or so) of the Vernal Equinox backwards against the starry constellations that determines which particular astrological “age” we are in. So right now with the intersection of the ecliptic and the celestial equator occurring in Pisces/Virgo, we are in the age of Pisces transitioning into that of Aquarius at some indeterminate time in the future. (see image at right)

Right now the transiting Nodal Axis is also moving through the Virgo/Pisces sign axis, which puts the eclipse cycle in alignment with the equinox cycles.  It’s all basic astronomy: the Sun, Moon and Earth are lined up very clearly with certain fixed stars in the heavens.

timeThose stars right now are in the constellation of Pisces (sidereal Pisces). Pisces says let go of human preconceptions and standards which are all illusory and limiting, grasp a higher-dimensional consciousness and become a cosmic master of all things. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, signifying the ultimate end of human evolution, to fully realize one’s divine masterful heritage.  Charts of the eclipses at the bottom of this article.

This new moon is also going to a supermoon, closer to the Earth than usual (lunar perigee).  Bottom line, this means that this whole total solar eclipse (at lunar perigee) is going to have a little bit more “kick.”

It’s been an amazing astrological month, especially with the culmination of a multi-year Uranus-Pluto square, but we’ve had a series of rather severe configurations at the same time overshadowing our passage through this last month. In the previous predictions article I said that you may be a significantly different person after March 2015 than before March 2015.

We change from moment to moment, but some “moments” in time are greater than others.

Tuesday, Mar 17
Thwarted intentions may elicit frustrations. Let not bitterness fester into cruelty. Like a wounded wolf, the humbled ego no longer menaces the kinder nature of the soul, which then emerges from the shadows. Tough lessons, but it is not strength or cunning, but conscious self-control, that wins the day. (Mars in sidereal Pisces sesquiquadrate Saturn in sidereal Scorpio)

Wednesday, Mar 18
Fantastic visions, unearthly revelations, and magical happenings are possible for those who dare to entertain them; especially for those with resolute purpose and soaring motivation. (Sun quintile Pluto, Mercury conjunct Neptune, Sun sesquiquadrate Jupiter)

Thursday, Mar 19
Out of emotional depth may be found significant riches. (Venus tridecile Pluto)

Friday, Mar 20, Total Solar Eclipse, Vernal Equinox
It’s a very cosmic line-up today with the Sun and Moon and the celestial equator: a total solar eclipse conjunct the Vernal Equinox. Fate, destiny and truth may be highlighted themes. Affairs may not go as planned due to situations of disorientation. However it’s all a shift and not a lapse. Keep moving.

Saturday, Mar 21
Relationships may need to work through tougher issues, striving not to neglect those ties that bind. Thoughts and events may elicit interesting and potentially fruitful discussions and discoveries. Stay in the realms of workability, not irrelevant tangents. (Venus quincunx Saturn, Mercury quincunx Jupiter)

Sunday, Mar 22
Intention and actions may have trouble coming together, or one correctly translating into the other. Beware of deceitful strategies, employed consciously or not. (Mars semisquare Neptune, Mercury sextile Pluto)

Monday, Mar 23
No peaking influences

Tuesday, Mar 24
Bold initiative may characterize the day, new opportunities may be seized. Creativity and perspicacity are enhanced. (Mars tridecile Jupiter, Mercury biquintile Jupiter, Venus sextile Neptune)

Wednesday, Mar 25
Steady diligence, significant progress. (Sun trine Saturn)

Thursday, Mar 26
Penetrating scrutiny may help create order, resolve deep issues. Getting the message out, across and through may be challenging, but very crucial at the same time. (Mercury tridecile Saturn)

Friday, Mar 27
Excess and extravagance clash which may wreck havoc with our physical, emotional, and financial worlds a turn or two later. Egos may require stoking and ambitions flaunted. Keep things in bounds, that life’s little parties and celebrations do not become an end in themselves. (Venus square Jupiter)

Saturday, Mar 28
No peaking influences

Sunday, Mar 29
Focused and determined action may move walls of limitation back. There is no room, no time, and no luxury for frustration or impatience to life: just getting things done and fulfilling one’s reason for being. Discussion and analysis may be richly rewarding. (Mars biquintile Saturn, Mercury quintile Pluto, Mercury sesquiquadrate Jupiter)

Monday, Mar 30
Deep and rich emotional experiences may help guide one to conscientious endeavors. (Venus trine Pluto)

Tuesday, Mar 31
Significant contacts and group alliances may form around common issues, ideas and the need for karmic resolution. Various challenges may emphasize power, authority and spirituality. (Sun conjunct South Node)

In March we come to the Vernal Equinox, when for about a month night and day are of about equal length, hence the word equinox.  There is one day when they are exactly equal and that is the Vernal Equinox, March 20. It is thereafter that one starts to gain dominance, for the Northern Hemisphere it is the day, while in the Southern it is night.  For the Southern their part of the globe actually moves away from the sun, hence the decreased light.
