The Tempo of Astrology
by Curtis Burns,

Predictions May 8 to 14, 2012

Lots if intermediate level astrological events this week.  Then next week there looks to be another step up of the tempo of the astrology, look for next week’s predictions column for more into.  Tuesday and Wednesday this week look to be the most impactful; then early next week things heat up.  This Sunday, the 12th looks to be pretty outstanding, good configurations to make affairs go well.

I’m still in the process of getting the site up to the level of where I envision it to be, there may be a few more delays  to getting new articles for another week or so yet.

Tuesday, May 8
Aggressive, reactionary, and violent energies may be coming out; events and situations may have a shocking or unsettling feel to them. The Universe however sometimes has to resort to radical means to separate us from our obsolete patterns; and a good little “wake up” nudge can do amazing things. Staying calm of course is the best tactic in any situation, because most urgent, alarming, or crisis-like situations soon pass with a sense of normalcy resserting itself. Sometimes we need to make bold decisions or act boldly on our decisions, for nothing speaks louder than our actions. (Mars quincunx Uranus)

Wednesday, May 9
Continuing from yesterday, relaxation or more internal, passive pursuits may not be the requirement of the hour. Be careful of accidents or injuries, fights or tense situations. No one is the enemy, the enemy exists only in the imagination. (Sun tridecile Mars)

Thursday, May 10
Jupiter is now entering a new sign, and therefore a new house in everyone’s chart. Depending on your rising sign, the entry of Jupiter into sidereal Taurus (Raman ayanamsha) will mean different things. For instance for those with Scorpio rising (again using Vedic-sidereal charts) this could have profound relationship consequences; for those with Aquarius rising, this could have profound consequences on the home front and financial life; etc., etc. In other areas today, conversations may have a luminous, transcendant quality; and thinking may be very optimistic and spiritual in scope. All these things are very nice, but a day spent in fanciful reverie could be done better with a pad and pen in hand, or in some other tangible outlet. (Mercury sextile Neptune)

Friday, May 11
No peaking influences

Saturday, May 12
At times a sense of dissatisfaction or exasperation may drive the day, causing one to make changes to one’s life. The intolerance of repressive situations may be very high, causing uprisings or sorts. Sun moves into sidereal Taurus today, everyone may feel the shift. (Sun semisquare Uranus)

Sunday, May 13
This will be quite a good day for discussions, seeing people on a high plane of operation, and engaging in growth and development opportunities. People may be a little gregarious and possibly arrogant in ways, but it should certainly be an interesting and lively day to do things. (Sun conjunct Jupiter, Mercury trine Mars, Mercury semisquare Venus)

Monday, May 14
Anxieties and deeply set psychological issues may be prodded by events and situation dynamics. A dark cast to the mind may send people into deviant, escapist, addictive, or other pathological states of mind and behavior. Harsh life lessons may be contemplated, and the feeling of being lost and alone may hit a peak. Delays and setbacks may characterize this most developmental of days. Patterns and situations which heretofore worked well in time breakdown, making way for the new. It is in that transitional phase though, death between different phases of life, that the soul must bide its time in that netherworld-type existence. I don’t speak of actual physical death of course; but ways of life coming to an end with new ones beginning. (Sun quincunx Saturn, Sun sesquiquadrate Pluto, Mercury trine Pluto)

March 2024: A World without Equinoxes or Solstices

In March we come to the Vernal Equinox, when for about a month night and day are of about equal length, hence the word equinox.  There is one day when they are exactly equal and that is the Vernal Equinox, March 20. It is thereafter that one starts to gain dominance, for the Northern Hemisphere it is the day, while in the Southern it is night.  For the Southern their part of the globe actually moves away from the sun, hence the decreased light.
