Jupiterean Christmas
by Curtis Burns,

Predictions for Week of December 19, 2011: Christmas Day, Jupiter Stationary Direct

Christmas this year has the potential to be a happier affair with Jupiter making a station on December 25, 2011.  Jupiter gives great joy and expectation, and the promise of reward.  The promise, but never the actual guarantee.  Guarantees are Saturn’s area of expertise.

Holiday events should have a festive feel to them, and it wouldn’t hurt to take a moment for gratitude and humility.  Jupiter seems to have the effect of opening up the doors of perception to the future, to a better, hopeful life.  It stimulates the higher centers, opening up new pathways.

Of course walking those new pathways is another story, best told by Saturn.  However with the inspiration of Jupiter we can lock ourselves into a new vision for ourselves and hold it before us as we go.  Therefore doing some thinking and writing down of things would be in good order over Christmas this year.

Monday, Dec 19
Contrasting influences of calm determination and animated enthusiasm may characterize the day.  Be careful of exaggerations, lies for the sake of expediency, or neglect of important details that abort the resolve so ardently set forth.  (Sun sextile Saturn, Mercury biquintile Jupiter)

Tuesday, Dec 20
Sublime creativity will be enhanced, as well as spirituality.  The unity and connectedness of all things may be more readily apparent.  Be careful however of pleasant distractions or becoming occupied with overly material things; even things like eating, drinking, or over-socializing.  (Sun sextile Neptune, Venus square Jupiter)

Wed and Thurs, Dec 21-22
Sudden, interesting, and possibly short-lived relationship situations may come about; it is a time to connect with your emotions.  Exuberance, spirituality, and looking positively towards the future are highlighted; be careful of pronouncing or promising more than you can actually deliver.  (Venus quintile Juno, Venus sextile Uranus, Sun trine Jupiter, Venus sesquiquadrate Mars, Sun square Mars)

Fri and Sat, Dec 23-24
No peaking influences

Sunday, Dec 25, Christmas Day
Enjoy the good times.  Be careful of overdoing it, promising too much, eating too much, spending too much; or just being loud and obnoxious.  It should be a day to remember.  Try to get away and do some creative visualization or brainstorming with associates.  Create your talismans for success.  Ceremonies and rituals are favored.  (Jupiter stationary direct)

Monday, Dec 26
At some point today an overly pessimistic or dour tone may color thinking and actions, but if you can keep from getting morbid, you may actually get some strategic or organizational tasks done.  There could be problems and delays in making connections, and maybe a “short fuse” element to our dispositions today.  Pathological tendencies are brought out somewhat.  (Mercury semisquare Saturn)

March 2024: A World without Equinoxes or Solstices

In March we come to the Vernal Equinox, when for about a month night and day are of about equal length, hence the word equinox.  There is one day when they are exactly equal and that is the Vernal Equinox, March 20. It is thereafter that one starts to gain dominance, for the Northern Hemisphere it is the day, while in the Southern it is night.  For the Southern their part of the globe actually moves away from the sun, hence the decreased light.
