I am reminded of the words of a Black Sabbath song from long ago: “The world is full of kings and queens who blind your eyes and steal your dreams; it’s heaven and hell; oh well!”  We all understand it on one level, but if we were to embrace these things we would have to disengage from things which we invested our egos into since we were babes.  All our parents taught us these sacred truths about life, reality, and what we need to do; but they are nearly all tragic…..

I don’t know about you but for me the last couple of weeks have been rather intense.  When you’re wading through the equivalent of a swamp karmically I find it hard to work, see to my family, eat adequately, sleep, or otherwise get by and write an in-depth astrology column.  I know that a number of people daily go to my site for valuable astrological perspective on affairs, and some of them missed me. 

We I did knock myself out about a month ago with my comprehensive report on April’s astrology, pointing to possible wars and other escalations.  A number of things did happen, the VA Tech shootings for one (more on that a little later).  But it would seem that the cloud of chaos that war brings is not yet with us.  I don’t mean to be a simple prophet of doom, but I also am not a rosy-eyed, new age spouter of escapist nebulous fantasies. 

The Dow broke 13,000, which should cause jubilation.  However how can this be reconciled with a declining dollar internationally and the price of gold continuing to rise?  Adjusted for inflation (the government borrowing about $2 billion a day) those rising stock prices (only select stocks) and home values are probably falling in actual value.  Don’t worry so much though; the powers that be have a new currency coming out that will solve this problem, the Amero. 

Sounds a lot like the Euro, doesn’t it?  Borders are dissolving; living standards all over are falling to a new common denominator.  But that also means a rising of living standards to formerly third world nations like India and China.  Globalism is on the move, it is good for you, just believe it. 

Without going into a lot of issues and questions surrounding the VA Tech shootings; it is easy enough to see shock and horror, corroborated by the stars above of Mars, Uranus, and the Nodes; and in aspect to the US ascendant, can be manipulated politically and perceptually to bring about social change.  In this case the desired effect is increased gun control.  Create the problem, offer a solution, make the change. 

I’m not a conservative, liberal, or libertarian here, even though it may sound like I am.  Did the VA Tech shooter just go off spontaneously in a vacuum?  Not likely.  I hope SWN readers understand now my mantra about the world: nothing is ever what it seems. 

A few front-runners in the Democratic presidential contenders are starting to come out.  My gut is telling me that Hillary Clinton and Barak Obama are going right up the very end.  I have yet to do any astrological work on the candidates.  I did do a series on Hillary Clinton a few years ago and I thought at the time that she might continue on to “lesser” successes in Congress.  But again she could lose out to the Republican candidate such as a Rudy Guliani.  These are all “celebrities” though, crafted media personalities but globalist yes-men (yes-women) nevertheless. 

Elections are not even a sure thing anymore, as if they ever were Constitutionally.  I am reminded of the words of a Black Sabbath song from long ago: “The world is full of kings and queens who blind your eyes and steal your dreams; it’s heaven and hell; oh well!”  We all understand it on one level, but another more conscious part of us refuses to believe these clichéd, but real things.  We walk around with a calm, sedated look in our eyes; but underneath we are torn, fragmented, and at near despair.  If we were to embrace all these fantastical but real things we would have to disengage from things which we have invested our egos into since we were babes.  All our parents taught us these sacred truths about life, reality, and truth; but they are nearly all tragic lies. 

Let your parents now be your eyes that deliver to you information and your heart that acts as the ultimate discerner of what is reality.  That still, small voice gives you the keys to heaven and hell, as it were. 

Okay, it’s Bible Time on SWN (I know you all like that). When Jesus came he said in Matthew 10:

"Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law—a man's enemies will be the members of his own household."

"Anyone who loves his father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves his son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me; and anyone who does not take his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.  Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it."

Maybe this is a fitting coda to the recently concluded Mars, Uranus, Rahu in Aquarius conjunction; which I have labored to hard to help every one understand: the shattering of the molds of previously embraced social paradigms that now prove to be no longer valid, but are restricting and smothering to the divine nature of all and hamper the true evolution of humanity.  Maybe you feel these things strongly in your psyche now.  I can tell you I have thought about them.  Some people need a reassuring figure (like a kind grandfather image, almost like Dick Cheney….go figure) telling them that they are on the side of good.  Others have to have that illusion pierced and their former association with thoughts and ideas enforced mainly by tradition shown to them for what they are.  That which they thought to be truth they learn to be a lie.  That which they held to be holy they now understand to be the most diabolical evil.

Sat, May 5
Difficulty in communications are possible, prejudicial hurdles to connection with the other person could send relationships onto unnecessary tangents.  Nevertheless the power of ideas and their ability to infectiously cause excitement is activated as well.  Communications and thinking today would seem to cover a wide range of conditions.  (Mercury square Saturn, quincunx Jupiter)

Sun, May 6
Relationships and the feelings good and bad that they contain look to be deeply intensified.  Love could eclipse reason as it does from time to time.  Feelings however pass; leaving the mundane facts and truths about our relationships to reassert propriety in our lives.  Today also a feeling of slow, methodical progress and cooperation will be present allowing everyone to be in a state of realism.  (Venus opposite Pluto, Jupiter trine Saturn)

Errors of perception (extremely emotionally charged biases) could interfere with the smooth running of affairs.  What seems to be apparent, tragically becomes proved to be what you wish was true but did not have the wherewithall to make an actuality.  Nevertheless the ability to persuade, to solve mysteries, and act with sublte guile is enhanced; strive to be ethical with your more-empowered-than-usual mind today.  (Mercury square Neptune, biquintile Pluto)
