Week of November 8, 2010
by Curtis Burns,

There are no major themes this week astrologically to comment on, just a few moderately powerful aspects which are highlighted on the appropriate days. The peak days appear to be Tuesday and Wednesday, November 9 and 10, which may be the pivot point of the week with many developmental occurrences on these days.

Mon, Nov 8
Cordiality will be high and artistic, cultural, and spiritual issues are favored.  Be careful of spending too much energy, time, or resources on what turn out to be frivolous ventures.  (Venus biquintile Jupiter)

Tue, Nov 9
A very intense excitement or sense of upset may skew the perception (and therefore the outcome) of events. Energies like this hit very hard and suddenly for 10 or 20 minutes, and then they rapidly subside; so if you just hold on and not let yourself “go nuts” in a pretty short time you’ll scratch your head and wonder what made you so upset then. (Mars tridecile Uranus)

Wed, Nov 10
Intensity and the magnetic power to influence others will be strong. Some situations or things may break down due to abuse (including such things as joints and muscles), or at least they may be put to their limits. Same goes for human behavior, people may be tempted to push the envelope and the normal boundaries of appropriateness may be temporarily suspended (including with sexual matters). (Sun sesquiquadrate Pluto)

Thur, Nov 11
There could be moments or alarm, excitement or hysteria; others may be able to use the situation where personal assertion is necessary. (Mercury parallel Mars)

Fri, Nov 12
What is seen, thought and felt may be exaggerated or distorted by preconceived notions or our fantasies; however this may be good for persuasion and creativity. (Venus parallel Neptune, Mercury tridecile Jupiter)

Sat, Nov 13
No peaking influences

Sun, Nov 14
Love and passion should be strong, emotions may run hot (regardless if connected to relationships or not); and the slow application of effort towards goals is favored. There could be an undercurrent of frustration however, which again needs to acquire a greater amount of patience to fix. (Venus semisquare Mars, Mars sextile Saturn)

Mon, Nov 15
Hyperbole and enthusiasm may hijack the day; usually after the excitement (as its own form of madness) subsides, noting is seen to be done. A lot of grandiose words and promises are nothing compared to resolute and diligent actions. Creative, spiritual, philosophical, and religious issues will be emphasized. (Sun trine Jupiter)

March 2024: A World without Equinoxes or Solstices

In March we come to the Vernal Equinox, when for about a month night and day are of about equal length, hence the word equinox.  There is one day when they are exactly equal and that is the Vernal Equinox, March 20. It is thereafter that one starts to gain dominance, for the Northern Hemisphere it is the day, while in the Southern it is night.  For the Southern their part of the globe actually moves away from the sun, hence the decreased light.
