February Astrology Forecast: Saturn and Neptune 39 Year Recurring Conjunction
Saturn, dredging through the zodiac all these years, has finally rendezvoused with Neptune. This will be a one-time conjunction that occurs on February 17, 2026. It only happens every thirty-nine years or so, which makes the last occurrence to be 1989. More on that in a bit.
Myths of Saturn and Neptune
With Saturn representing the Greek Titan Chronos of myth, Neptune-Poseidon is actually his son. But Saturn-Chronos being a cruel dad, decided to swallow all his children in fear of a prophesy that they would overthrow his rule.
Zeus-Jupiter as one of the siblings was able to escape Chronos because his mom, Rhea, faked out Chronos by giving him a big rock in swaddling clothes in place of the godling.
Then Zeus obtained a potion that made Chronos vomit up the rest of his siblings, and then he led an insurrection against dad, which in myth is called the Titanomachy.
Thus, we had the Olympian gods, who ruled until this guy called Jesus of Bethlehem came around to shake things up.
Putting It all into Context
That little bit of myth-history may be able to help us sort out this periodic meetup of celestial bodies in our sky.
Looking back, we can see that 1989’ish was a time significant change: the Berlin Wall fell as did the Soviet Union and communist bloc nations. We also had the start of the first Iraq war and that of the political and economic supremacy of the United States, a new unipolar world. “Communism” was through, “capitalism” “won”.
One way to understand Saturn-Neptune interactions is that paradigms get kick-started while others end up kicked to curb. The pathologies of the particular planets do not mix well, Saturn curtails and frustrates, Neptune confuses and incites despair. That is how people feel at the cusp of societal changes; the “system” fails, and discontent incites reactionary measures.
Saturn’s structuring collapses. Could you say the same for 2026 so far?
Great for some, not good for much of the world’s population.
Make no mistake, the former unipolar world (one axis of power-the US) is about to be supplanted by a multipolar relationship of the US and China and the US is $37 trillion in debt. It will take a while for the US (and its media) to admit it, but the divergent trajectories are clear, no matter how many repressive economic measures, missile attacks or hostile takeovers and kidnappings are desperately used in denial.
The world is SICK of decades of plunder and abuse and is about to shrug it all off. It’s a dangerous time. Over the next one to two years, as Saturn and Neptune move in and out of conjunction, I am sure we all will be moving through the pivot point.

The Sun, Moon and Earth form a line. With the New Moon in the middle it is a solar eclipse; this time forming a “ring” (or annular) eclipse. Things tend to get a bit wonky during eclipses; just keep sharp anyway. Think of it as a sort of download, the operating system is a little overburdened and then must install the new coding, then it reboots. Pause, reset, carry on. Eclipse happens quite close to Regulus, Heart of the Lion star, giving a bit extra jolt to the reboot. Stay on your throne, like that “king of beasts”.
