June 21 will be the Summer Solstice, which is the day the Earth’s axis is directly in alignment with the Sun. This gives one part of the Earth with extreme light and heat from the Sun, and another part with extreme deficit of light and heat. One is summer, the other is winter. This is an oversimplification, but this is the mechanism that gives us the seasons.
It is because the Earth’s rotational axis is NOT precisely perpendicular to the Sun that we have the turning of the seasons at all.
You see if the Earth was exactly 90 degrees angular to the Sun every part of the Earth would receive the same amount of sunlight (and hence heat, etc.) every day of the year. You would be in perpetual spring, summer, autumn or winter all year long.
As the planets are spun out in the formation of our solar system, they are going to have little perturbations or idiosyncrasies on their orbits, which then cause the planets in their orbits to be at different angles to the sun, which then cause the turning of the seasons for each planet.
The fact that you can do water skiing, ride bikes, rake leaves, or snow sled is all because of those perturbations that cause the turning of the seasons. If everything were mathematically perfect in the heavens, life might be somewhat boring, but it is the “messiness” of those heavens which cause the ever-turning seasonal climatology of the planet.
Another fun fact about the seasons is that the situation is reversed in the Southern Hemisphere, what we now are enjoying in the Northern Hemisphere as summer (and all it’s bustle and fun) is winter (and all it’s isolation and inconvenience) in the Southern Hemisphere.
From June 23 to 29 I see potential turbulence in life and affairs as Mars traverses a particularly nasty corner of the zodiac, between the stars Algol and the Pleiades. Also during that time the Sun will make square to Neptune, quincunx to Pluto, and Mars will make semisquare to Saturn. Mercury will also make a retrograde station.
Monday, June 1
Favorable relationship and partnership dynamics. (Sun trine Juno, Venus opposite Vega star)
Tuesday, June 2
Turbulence with others, but enough wisdom to go around to resolve things. (Sun sextile Saturn, Mars square Juno, Venus semisquare Uranus)
Wednesday, June 3
The deceived are the self-deceived already. Take a re-look at your assumptions today, entertain a little skepticism. (Mercury square Neptune)
Thursday, June 4
Intriguing and potentially very profitable associations and connections. (Mercury biquintile Juno and quincunx Pluto)
Friday, June 5
Juno Stationary Retrograde
Strong dynamics for coming together, this may be an important connection. Keep enthusiasm in stride with discipline and caution. Not all ideas are great ones because they seem to be so. (Mars quintile Jupiter, Venus conjunct Castor Star in Gemini)
Saturday, June 6
Strong feelings, but keep things workable, otherwise you are chasing beautiful distractions. (Sun quintile and Venus tridecile Neptune)
Sunday, June 7
Venus enters sidereal Cancer for the next few weeks, experience deep emotional resonance in what you do. (Venus conjunct Pollux star in Gemini)
Monday, June 8
Last Quarter Moon
No peaking influences
