Sometimes we look at someone and we say, "that dude is here in body only." We understand that being in control, the "master of our world" is what it is all about.  He may have indeed "checked out" because he refuses to deal with reality, but just as easily he could be undergoing a mind-shift whereby old concepts and sustaining paradigms are being "reformatted" by an overshadowing divine presence.  This seemingly "lost" individual may indeed be becoming a way-shower to others.  We may look upon him with distain, the greater universe however is looking up him with favor. 

Feeling "lost" is kind of a mistaken notion, it assumes that not being in a particular paradigm (that a lot of other people seem to be in) means that you are not in another paradigm.  It assumes that a universe that guilds the lily finer than Solomon or watches over the smallest sparrow, has no care, concern or provision for it's jewel-like souls that is spins out of its very essence.  One should just assume without question that there is always an abiding, guiding, and molding presence at work in one's life acting with absolute perfection….

This week the planet Neptune takes on the appearance of stopping in the sky and reverting to normal forward motion (stationary direct).  Inasmuch as Neptune is not visible to the naked eye, the symbolism of a major planetary body in this solar system now moving in a forward direction from our perspective is quite enough to register on our personal and planetary psyche. 

The idea is that the slower a planet moves the deeper its astrological effects manifest.  So a planet standing still in the sky makes its effect register on the deepest level ever!  So it is no surprise that planetary stations are one of the most powerful events in astrology.  So as Neptune stands still, but for a moment at one with the rest of the universe speeding to it's ultimate destiny, losses of consciousness and transports from "normal" human status quo start to happen.  Sometimes we look at someone and we say, "that dude is here in body only" and we fault them for that state. Control is a funny thing though, we sometimes find ourselves trying to out-manage the larger universe around us and we're fiddling, meddling, and generally making a mess of things. This of course is much of the gift of Saturn, becoming an integrated and competent individual.  But Neptune teaches us the advanced art of the control of no-control, the zen buzz of moving along going through motions but realizing that it all doesn't really matter anyway. 

When you learn the art of no-control control, just about anything is possible to you. When you don't "do" anything, you can do anything!  Think about that one for a while, dear SWN reader.  I am reminded of the words of Mother Mary, spoken through Elizabeth Clare Prophet once; saying (paraphrasing) the path of God is that of surrender, having to let go of things, and some people don't like to think of that.  But those who continue on find that when they let go of things for God, they return to them because with God you have everything.  There are many layers of meaning to that concept, which I'm sure you have your own takes on.

Feeling "lost", which Neptune many times presents, merely means that there is a transitional phase of consciousness-development occuring.  The new, better paradigm will assert itself soon enough.  As Jesus himself gently rebuted his disciples "O ye of little faith…."  Being lost, off track, or somehow in the wrong place at the wrong time are things that are true in the mind of a person only!

Nevertheless with Neptune temporarily peaking in influence upon the world, we can still see any number of self-deluded deluders trying to share us all in on their lies of consciousness.  "Reality is this way because….", "This thing must happen because…..", or such things as "I must be this way because…."  It becomes extremely important for us to beleive what they beleive because they have invested so much of their being in this lie that if we disbeleive it, it is as if we disbeleive in their very existance. 

I think neo-cons truely beleive that they are doing the right thing, and they desparetly need validation in their words and action.  This is why they publish their plans in documents like the Project for the New American Century and continue to shout it through their voices in the media: for many reasons, but also because they are trying to convince themselves more than anyone else about the truth of their ideas.

I notice this a lot in spiritual circles.  There are people who have communicative ability, and then there are those who do not.  The successful teachers and ministers are those who can get out of themselves and sense the needs of others and address them.  Others, with no great economy of words, like to speak about ideas and thoughts that interest them; that they think about.  It is almost as if they are not speaking to other people but themselves in the mirror, desparately trying to convince themselves of the truth of the words they speak.  The latter group's results are understandably mediocore, but they think people should be interested in what they are.  What ego!  What pride, but so pitifully ineffective! 

If anyone were to beleive them it can only be then because they share in that self-identifying prideful agenda, but ultimately it would become a growing circle of people struggling for intellectual domination of the group.  It would not a very happy (or large) lot either. I'm getting pretty in-group political here, but to be successful in group situations people need to stop talking and start listening. 

This week Mercury, the swift messenger of the gods, turns into direct motion as well.  The near-simultaneous occurances of both Neptune and Mercury stationing certainly portends the significance of this time.  Over Oct 31 and Nov 1 the planetary consciousness should be stimulated to a degree, and hopefully pushed more in the right direction.

This could be an amazing day as two very bright and benefic planets dynamically aspect each other, lifting the spirits of all.  You need to be careful however of mistaking self-indulgent excesses for valid social and cultural experiences.  There should be however a moderating and balancing influence, helping to bring things to realism.  Hopes and dreams for the future should wax strong, as should a great feeling of social togetherness.  (Jupiter sextile Neptune, Venus square Jupiter, Venus quincunx Neptune, Sun sextile Saturn)

On the day when the “spooks” are supposed to come out, this year there is a major astrological event portending much in the metaphysical, spiritual, and unearthly realms. If normality is really a prison house of soul-stultification, right now there might be some spiritual “equal time” being gained. Poor little human mind, caught in the middle of the struggle between materiality and universality, could be somewhat overwhelmed. Don't be too surprised differing “lapses” of consciousness, latent tendencies to deceive or to be deceived coming out, or to seeking escape from the responsibilities of living a life of reality through such things as books, movies, TV shows, or the use of intoxicants. Physical vitality may be vulnerable, be sure to not inadvertently trigger off allergies and sensitivities. Sometimes we know full well the consequences of our actions, but we lie to ourselves that these things were “out of our control”; this way we perpetuate our little co-dependencies, crutches, and some relationships.  (Neptune stationary direct)

A little bit of jealousy and vanity can go a long way to making people want to come together.  Of course when people come together sparks can be generated, it would be nice to think though that the petty interplay of emotions and desires in relationships is not merely a pretext to biological propagation.  In our higher understandings of ourselves we like to think the roles we play and the bodies we wear have a sublime purpose to their seemingly mundane adventures and relationships.  (Venus quintile Mars)
