The big day of this week, mundanely as well as astrologically, is November 4, Election Day in the US.  There could be a lot of tension building to some sort of palpable release with these energies peaking, and then at the same time there could be a confused derailing of energy and drives, not to mention some funny business that is executed "all for the good" anyway. 

Saturn the taskmaster moves into opposition to Uranus, the great liberator as it were; and the Earth come exactly between them.  Change, change, change is Obama’s liberating cry; it may well take him to an electoral success. 

Or maybe another "maverick" who likes to blow things up will surprise everybody, as in John McCain.  At the same time Mars will be squaring Neptune, which is a decidely negative and sneaky configuration.  Don’t be too surprised at any level of shananigans that occur this week in the quest to be the face behind the desk in the Oval Office.

A lot of people are talking about riots during the election or just after.  I have to admit that such a thing is possible with Uranus aspected by Saturn, but I don’t personally feel that riots will be much of an issue.  Frankly, people are more passive these days, and that is part of the grand design it would seem; but there could be flashpoints here and there.  

The aspect of Neptune on Mars will also have the effect of dampening ardor and confusing motivations, which has proven to be a calming, moderating influence in the past.
