Myths Reside Only in Our Mind

Saturn and Neptune Aspects, In Depth on Mercury Retrograde Myths

The course of oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico seems to be paralleled by the aspects of Saturn and Neptune in the skies above us.  Neptune represents oily substances and Saturn problems resulting therein.  The issue of whether the problem was man-made or not, is made more relevant because of the deliberate, pathological influence of Saturn; and then of course there is the issue of Neptune’s questionable at times rationalizations at work.

Twelve inches of rain in Tennessee also wrecking havoc on the lives of all therein, including the watery deaths of sixteen of their residents also show the handiwork of Saturn and Neptune.  You can see it also in the NYC Times Square “terrorist” bombing, you have to be suspicious when the heavy hand of Saturn is present, making it not so much of a spontaneous attempt and creating chaos by radical element but possibly the ponderous efforts of an authoritarian group such as the CIA. I don’t know that for sure of course, but I only to highlight the astrological signatures in force at the time.

This week is quite heavy by itself with aspects of the Sun, Mars, and Saturn over Monday and Tuesday, May 3 and 4.  Then on Thursday, May 6, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto make contraparallels to each other; which may be a less powerful manifestation of planets than traditional aspects but it will be interesting to see how they indeed manifest.

Mercury turns direct again on Tuesday, May 11 next week, which may make a few happy.  I have been in the midst of some very intensive non-astrological internet business endeavors all during this Mercury retrograde time and I haven’t noticed anything outside of the normal course of mis-communications.  I think Mercury retrograde as a period of increased business foul ups is more of a myth than anything else.  Unpleasant stuff happens all the time in business.

I think Mercury retrograde can have the effect of influencing thinking to be slightly more subjective and prone to bias at the time, and not much else.  I have noticed the real mix-ups to occur though when Mercury makes aspects to Saturn or Neptune, which happens many times during a Mercury retrograde period; all of which contributes to the myth about Mercury retrograde being a bad time.  Bias, subjectivity and inhibition of normal mental process definitely occurs when Mercury aspects Saturn or Neptune.

A lot of myths rule our lives, including the relevancy or even legitimate existence of the Western tropical zodiac.  “Myths” like that depend on hearsay, confirmation bias, and suppression-agendas based on intellectual pride.   There’s a fair amount of raw ignorance to.  My point is that there are a lot of truths inhabiting our lives, as well as the myths which we ignorantly or subconsciously prefer to sustain.  Truth is outside of us, myths reside only in our mind.

Day by Day:

Mon, May 3
Today and tomorrow intense forces may be coming into alignment in our lives, pushing us in ways we might not prefer to be but we need to be nonetheless.  This may not be a day of relaxation, but focus and hard work.  Relationships may need some work to.  (Sun and Mars in hard aspect to Saturn, Venus tridecile Saturn, Mercury trine Pluto)

Tues, May 4
There may be tensions and frustrations; however it is all a controlled process of personal and social change.  As long as people decide and determine to stay calm and cool in the midst of situations boiling over, significant changes and reforms may be brought about.  Technology may be delivering challenges, tendencies to despair or pessimism may be brought out (for correction).  At some point relationship developments may take on a startling or unusual turn.  (Sun square Mars and sesquiquadrate Uranus, Mercury biquintile Saturn, Venus quintile Uranus)

Wed, May 5
No peaking influences

Thur, May 6
Significant life and societal development are possible, energy and emotions may be thrown into overdrive.  However a balanced outlook can help keep things on an even keel.  (Mars contraparallel Pluto, Jupiter contraparallel Saturn)

Fri, May 7
Energy and emotions and be dynamically charged in the context of emotions or life situations in general.  (Venus sextile Mars)

Sat, May 8
Feelings and regard for others may take on fantastic dimensions, only to come back down to earth disappointingly later; however, rapturous inspiration may take the soul consciousness to very refined spaces.  Creativity and spirituality will be enhanced.  (Venus tridecile Neptune)

Sun, May 9
Cordiality should be strong between people, perceptions and dialogue can be positively engaging.  (Mercury semisquare Venus)

Mon, May 10
The stops may be pulled out with regard to energy, motivation, and application; the envelope may be pushed at all levels.  Some may succeed in something incredible, while others only to have it blow up in their face.  Mental, emotional, and physical breakdowns are possible, as well as mechanical/technological.  Tomorrow Mercury turns direct again.  (Sun sesquiquadrate Pluto, parallel Mars)

March 2024: A World without Equinoxes or Solstices

In March we come to the Vernal Equinox, when for about a month night and day are of about equal length, hence the word equinox.  There is one day when they are exactly equal and that is the Vernal Equinox, March 20. It is thereafter that one starts to gain dominance, for the Northern Hemisphere it is the day, while in the Southern it is night.  For the Southern their part of the globe actually moves away from the sun, hence the decreased light.
