This week it is Neptune’s turn to stand still in the sky and for a small interval enter into the entire movement of the cosmos as one.  The universe is moving, you know; moving, and standing still.  The universe in its totality rests in perfect equilibrium, perfect action which is no action.  This is not action based on some imbalance or a priori agitation from some other part of the universe, it originates from the realm of First Cause. 

This is a perfect state (stationary retrograde) for Neptune for its nature is no nature, transparency to the universal.  The ego, the sense of “I” is irrelevant, and the sense of selfhood that exists is only something to be given up for the All.  As Neptune enters this stationary, still state it becomes extremely powerful; drawing up from within us all like it and that not-so-quite-like-it. 

Chemical/oil leaks or spill are possible, as is extreme deceits of behavior in people, plus even losses of consciousness or vitality that can bring about further deceits of behavior and the exacerbation of physically chronic conditions.  Behind it all though is that mysterious power that causes “loss”, but really lances the ego and frees the spirit to fill a bigger space. 

You can expect also the most bald-faced lies and deceptions to be engineered during Neptune events like this, and also the rising of confusion and despair at a mass level.  Those with spiritual fortitude already might be feeling a little less tied to earthly values and they might come closer to finding real values that are not based merely on unfulfilled desires, senses of inadequacy, or imagined grandiosity. 

In Neptune all divisions, boundaries, and senses of relativity disappear; this can wreck havoc on the ordinary human consciousness, which is so dependent on sets of contrasting values: you/me, good/bad, black/white.  So during Neptunian events people can “check out” somewhat; whether it is sleeping a lot, walking around oblivious to the world around them, or strongly desiring to get high or drunk.  Physical sensitivities to chemical and substances can be exacerbated, toxic conditions can flare.  Such events as flooding can occur. 

So if things seem rather strange this week or you seem to be very disoriented, just remember that a little bit of good otherworldliness is bearing upon you through Neptune.  The universe is striving make you less dependent on material matters.  Sometimes it is good to feel helpless, not so sure of yourself because it makes you less “arrogant” as it were, learning the ultimate futility of egoistic concepts such as pride, accomplishment, and reputation. 

A lot of people’s spirituality seems to be based on strength, will power, and tenacity, and you can sense a certain amount of pride people have in those qualities.  Such qualities are very good, I talk about them all the time; but I think that they are trumped by qualities of humility, surrender, and desirelessness.  The universe strives mightily to remove these qualities from us, and it is the ultimate struggle: man against the universe, or God if you will. 

So if you feel a little bit of struggle or difficulties embracing the meaning of things this week, or any other week for that matter; try this: let it go, ride with it.  Allow different kinds of concepts to flow into your mind, don’t try to categorize or understand them immediately.  Trust, trust, trust in the power of a more universal, wholistic, and organic force directing you life.  You “grasp” it by letting it go.  Another part of you brain gets stimulated and you are definitely becoming a more rounded being.

Impetuosity may be in abundance today, all do, no think.  What is important is not that the facts and figures corroborating action, but that the parties feel justified in the acts.  If you can see yourself as a Jack Bauer, George Clooney, or Sylvester Stallone you don’t need a rationale to shoot guns, punch bad guys, and make pithy, smart comments.  You are a MAN OF ACTION, and that is all the justification you need.  Maybe the world has a few too many swaggering tough guys; today may be a day for them though.  A few crusty authority figures may be targets to.  (Mars tridecile Jupiter, Sun quintile Uranus)

Love and attachment as emotions can be highly luminous today, seemingly coming from heaven full of transcendent, transfixing beauty.  “Love” can also be a very convenient escape drawing you away from the most crucial issues in life.  But today can be a wonderful opportunity to etherealize your love life, experience God in your connection to someone else.  (Venus biquintile Neptune)

The feeling of joy, love, and the perception of beauty should be expanded today.  A sense of possibilities may seize the mind, no doubt exaggerated though.  Be careful to what you invest your money, time, and energy right now; that the rewards are not superficial and dissipate quickly.  (Venus quincunx Jupiter)

Thur, May 24
Neptune officially stops dead in the sky and turns backward; as it does Mars complicates the issue by making an aspect to it.  There just may be greater than usual blockages between the thought and the action, or it just may never get to the action part.  Guile and deception in actions is highly probable, more so with one’s self.  What may be demanded is an arduous, determined climb out of the hole of despair in our lives.  Remember though, all the obstacles are in the main psychological.  (Neptune stationary retrograde, Mars semisquare Neptune)

The power of thought, the ability to project energy and intention should be penetratively powerful. The temptation to use and/or abuse this power probably will be present as well.  Misusing power (in this case mental/verbal faculties) of course exacts a great price so conscientiousness of use is essential for today.  With buddhic aplomb however you should be able to reach great depths of understanding, mysteries can be brought to light, and powerful magnetic charisma can be accessed.  (Mercury opposite Pluto)

Mon, May 28, Memorial Day
A change in the tone of events today should be noticed.  The day (holiday in the US) should start out pretty good and peak emotionally midafternoon.  Then, as the Sun moves into aspect to Saturn, a more reserved and pessimistic tone can come about; which will peak about midnight US time. The ability to feel happy (and therefore the ability to bring about good fortune) could have strong opposition, as maybe everyone starts getting suspicious of each other.  Strong persevereance however will be called-up/demanded of everybody to keep everyone from going down that "negative" road, but which helps create a permanent counter-active optimism in everyone.  (Venus biquintile Jupiter, quincunx Neptune; Sun quintile Saturn)
