So you think Obama is a pacifist?  He may say all the right words, but he still has that neo-con love of exploding bombs, flying bullets, and burning flesh; at least it would seem from his astrology.  The Mars/Neptune square in the US chart would indicate that we launch off on wars with sometimes shaky rationales and that we sometimes seek misplaced religious succor in being righteous warriors.  Obama’s Mars right over this configuration would only seem to reinforce the current trends in the US foreign policy, and the idea that definitive action always trumps cautious circumspection.  This can be quite dangerous for government-types and lethal for those who live on coveted lands, resources, and strategic zones….

As of this writing (mid May 2008) we are in the last legs of the primary season.  Barack Obama has a majority of delegates and superdelegates; Hilary Clinton, however, seems to be almost as potential to win the Democratic nomination, she is just slightly short.

The media establishment however seems to have already written-off Clinton.  It is a veritable chorus calling for her to throw in the towel.  To me its funny how consensus forms in the media, it just appears full-blown as if it were scripted by those “Powers That Be” and whose media minions obediently pronounce.

At any rate, it now appears that Obama is the chosen Democrat contender for the White House.  You almost never see an image of Hilary Clinton now that doesn’t have her frowning or shown in a less-than-desirable manner.  Perception is everything; if you can mold perception you can rule the world.

As I have said before, Obama himself, seems pretty unremarkable when looking at his life and achievements, he’s just a non-description “senator” out there, but a perfect empty vessel for vested interests to work through.  Webster Tarpley, noted author, calls him a “manchurian candidate ” for the intelligence community.

Hilary on the other hand, while no stranger to questionable past connections, is rather outspoken, bossy, and independent; just too much of a loose cannon to be reliable front woman.  And, yes she is a woman, I just don’t think that the PTB have a very good opinion of women in general; and they may just not like a woman president.

But she’s still hanging around, supposedly waiting for the inevitable dirt to come out on Obama; info let out at the most tactically damaging time: such as just before the Democratic convention.  The Larry Sinclair/Reverent Wright/Donald Young situation would be damming enough for Obama; as well as connection to radicals such as Bill Ayers and the Weathermen ; info like this could be unleashed in a Karl Rove-like October Surprise.

Some years ago I did an extensive analysis of Hilary Clinton’s astrology, at the time I thought she would not make it to the White House.  I understand now that a new birthtime has been proposed by a number of astrologers, and I hope to cover that in the near future.  Some people I have heard through the Rense.com website say that Hilary may have been born at a completely different place and time because she’s a manchurian candidate herself after a fashion.

Murky speculations aside, I am going to deal with the facts as best as I can find them and run with it; after all, the truth eventually does come out.

Connections of Barack Obama to the US Astrology

Obama is pretty strong in his connections to major elements of the US national chart (July 4, 1776, 5.12 pm, Philadephia, PA), both in upfront and in subversive ways.  He’s got classic presidential astrology to me: great image, positive manner, but personal liabilities that could make him subject to the designs of hidden interests.  Obama may be the most intensive, pivotal, and turbulence-creating individual yet to possibly occupy the Oval Office chair.  Think George W. Bush was a trip?  Obama could be the king of trippiness yet.

Obama’s chart and the US chart is posted at the bottom of this article.   I use sidereal/Vedic positions and I am synthesizing Western and Vedic interpretation methods.  The Obama chart is the best possible available at this time; the US chart is the version that I have found to be the most accurate and relevant.  This is not an exhaustive analysis but will cover the most prominent points.

Obama’s South Node conjunct US Moon

The US Moon in Aquarius denotes our national character that is concerned with justice, common welfare, and “democratic” principles.  Another word for Aquarius is freedom which is what the US originally was founded upon: freedom from tyranny and evening the playing field as much as possible for anyone to be able to realize their dreams.  As to whether this is an actuality in the early 21st century is debatable, but it still in a foundational principle in our national consciousness.  It may save us in the end yet.

Obama’s South Node (called Ketu) on the US Moon is interesting indeed.  Natally Ketu denotes areas of extreme testing, spiritual release, and sublime secretiveness.  Obama somehow keys-off our innate sense of humanitarianism, our love of the law, and our bonds of brotherliness.  Being black, from a broken home, and on the Democratic side possibly brings these issues out.

The shady side of Ketu however brings out the backroom connections, the potential for subversion by clandestine elements, and even the base pathology symbolized by the alleged Larry Sinclair situation of murder, sex, and drugs.  Ketu in western terms could be considered to be the equivalent of a combination of the effects of Neptune and Pluto.  Some really wild stuff could come out of Obama for the US.

Obama’s Sun is conjunct the US North Node

This is the complement of the configuration above.  Obama connects up very strongly on three of the most powerful points in any person’s chart: the Sun, Moon, and Nodes (the other being the ascendant).

Obama’s Sun on the US North Node (Rahu) in the ninth house looks to be strongly ambitious, opportunistic, and far-reaching.  The North Node in the ninth house of the US chart gives a powerful sense of special destiny to the nation and a decided advantage against all others.  Connections to this, such as the Sun a symbol of power and authority, can take one far and help one to “activate” the highest potentials of the nation.

Indeed Barack Obama has had outstanding success and favor in only a few short years in government; and now the US is at a crossroads in its current policies.  It can decided to pull out of Iraq, stabilize the situation, focus on some urgent domestic matters, and maybe reacquaint itself with what made American great; or, it can launch into even more adventuristic arenas: expand into Iran and maybe Syria, exercise military might for all the world to see, and spread the glory of American good-will over more key hegemonic oil-rich regions.  What do you think it will do?  Would Obama be the man for the job to take over George Bush?

Obama, now that the Hilary issue seems to be subsiding in threat to his campaign, has been making some very neo-con-like statements.  It’s statements like that that make neo-con superpatriot’s blood run hot; it also makes their multi-nationalist, corporatist, and globalist bosses burn with greed as well.

Obama’s Mercury and Jupiter aspect the US Pluto

This is much the same as the above configuration, but it only reinforces the issues with dizzyingly intoxicating rhetoric, and broad semi-spiritual raptures that cause swooning shrieks of ecstasy from the crowds, media, and pseudo-guru’s like Oprah Winfrey.  If you look at what is emblazoned on the podium at Obama rallies, “CHANGE, that really matters”; you can see that it looks good but it really doesn’t mean anything.  Obama actually does have a rather detailed and nice-sounding platform as seen on his website; but it’s really short and sweet slogans coupled with a charismatic individual (boyish in his charm and fresh-faced) that make people go nuts.  Some people have described Obama as “messianic”.

Summation

Obama talks nice, but he seems to hold hidden but not-so-nice agendas.  He seems to offer standard Democratic Party fare, and in this way he is very run of the mill as far as political candidates.  But in a very stage-managed campaign like this one handled by vested interests, he seems to include a particularly virulent promise with his astrology and maybe more so than George Bush.  Maybe he’s the right guy for the real movers and shakers.
