Week of Jan 7 to 14, 2007
by Curtis Burns,

Mon, Jan 7
This could be a key day to instill new love and appreciation into relationships.  The heart may overrule all other factors and powerfully cement people to each other and situations.  (Venus conjunct Juno)

Tue, Jan 8
Early on innovative approaches to problem solving may become clear, usually as a flash of intuition or sudden cognition.  Minor configurations like these are usually only valuable to those already half prepared to receive them.  (Mercury semisquare Uranus)

Wed, Jan 9
A sense of urgency or alarm may be present, possibly tinged with a feeling of dread.  Thoughts/feelings like these can burden, inhibit, or stifflle completely our normal tasks; the key is to not let the worst our imagination can fabricate up to become a manifest reality.  Keeping our eyes on the prize (goal, objectives, etc.) can help transform this configuration into one of constructive, determined, and forceful assertion.  (Mercury biquintile Mars and Saturn)

Thur and Fri, Jan 10 & 11
No peaking influences

Sat, Jan 12
The aspect of Jupiter on Neptune today could skew judgment overly so into optimism, even escapist optimism; but nevertheless the feeling of connectivity, brotherhood, and spiritual love should be magnified; how we are not separated or fractionalized, but all one.  Therefore one does not hurt another part of oneself.  Society benefits from the lessening of the power of the ego over ethics, and allows it to ascend the evolutionary ladder.  In other areas relationships will be stimulated in new and exciting ways, the success of which may depend on not letting old (no longer viable) ways of thinking steer them.  A feeling of fate or destiny may be present among people and situations, leading people to make important decisions and actions.  Later there could be an element of pessimism or over-skepticism that tries to tyranize the moment, but just as easily they could be important messages to heed.  (Jupiter semisquare Neptune, Venus square Uranus, Sun and Venus aspect Nodes, Mercury quincunx Saturn)

Sun, Jan 13
Ouch, three malefics clash in the skies.  Anger, frustration, and strife stemming from deep-seated anxieties may erupt.  Be careful about accidents, delays, conflicts, injuries, etc.  Focused, determined, and cautious action however; if the emotional excesses are passed over, may yield strong results.  (Sun sesquiquadrate Saturn, Mars quintile Saturn)

Mon, Jan 14
A feeling of urgency and/or alarm may momentarily seize situations later in the day US time. Sometimes though a sense of urgency is a good thing; calling to mind such sayings as "strike the iron while it’s hot", "the early bird gets the worm", or even "cut to the chase."  (Mercury sesquiquadrate Mars)

March 2024: A World without Equinoxes or Solstices

In March we come to the Vernal Equinox, when for about a month night and day are of about equal length, hence the word equinox.  There is one day when they are exactly equal and that is the Vernal Equinox, March 20. It is thereafter that one starts to gain dominance, for the Northern Hemisphere it is the day, while in the Southern it is night.  For the Southern their part of the globe actually moves away from the sun, hence the decreased light.
