Saturn Opposite Uranus: Economic Breakdown as Described by Astrology

Very palpable tension can be the result of this week’s upcoming Saturn/Uranus opposition, these planets represent the forces of social control and unbridled individualism at their nakedest in their war for domination of the human spirit.  Out of these opposing, pulling forces can emerge though a person finally free of that which bound him and led him astray in the past.

This planetary influence actually has been with us for about the last year or so already.  Supposedly this has helped bring down the banking houses to their knees, a new regime in the White House, massive layoffs and bankruptcies, and probably more to come.  What is scary though is what can emerge from the ruins, as it were.

Uranus’ effect is to shatter Saturn’ leaden hold on things but this is a crucial juncture in civilization.  When facades are shattered, maybe a more frightening beast is brought to light.  I couldn’t go into the whole of it here, but the effects of multi-trillion dollar bailouts and increasing war fronts could kill the US dollar for sure and bring into play financial interests that should have gone down but now are free to destroy, pillage, and grab up all they can.

This is not so “nice” to talk about, we prefer to cling to our Neptunian escapist dreams of idyllic perfection.  Nothing however is more dreams shattering to be earning $100,000 a year one day, and then fired the next (which I recently saw in someone’s life personally).  The Neptunian fall from a height can be painful indeed, but necessary.  The frightening, shattering power of Uranus upon Saturn may take away a whole lot more before it delivers on its vaunted freedom.

Materialistic values create bondage and surround oneself with rings and rings of anxiety.  Uranus “liberates” us from our illusions, which are really our prison houses; and if it weren’t so painful would the message ever take?  A new world awaits us, and maybe uprooting Uranus is it’s harbinger.
