Predictions May 1 to 6, 2013
by Curtis Burns,

Wednesday, May 1
The astro-news of the day is obviously the exact opposition of Mars to Saturn.  The irresistible force meets the immovable object.  It’s not a day to procrastinate or avoid the challenges of the day, but be careful of injuries, accidents and other mishaps which are more likely.  Untrained muscles, ligaments and joints may suffer under the stress; egos not used to the stress may also buckle, causing all sorts of strife.  Two malefics interacting in the sky in fact activates all potential misfortunes and shocks to life’s peace.  Determined, deliberate, and focused action, applied towards intimidating problems may yield amazing results.  (Mars opposite Saturn)

Thursday, May 2
Discussion and inquiry may be uproarious and unsubtle, be careful of any errors born of convenience, neglect, or expedience.  (Mercury semisquare Jupiter)

Friday, May 3
Venus moves into sidereal Taurus, helping to inaugurate shifts, especially in our relationships.  Later on, inspiration and creativity are enhanced, the ability to see all-exclusively may be powerfully luminous.  (Mercury sextile Neptune)

Saturday, May 4
Relationships may stumble over power and control.  (Sun square Juno)

Sunday, May 5
Perspectives and attitudes may be dark, but stark realizations may open the way to actual paths of progress.  Communication and expression may suffer from self-censure or being blocked by situations or other people.  Getting the message through may be fraught with peril and opposition, but an audacious attitude nevertheless may allow one to rise above base pessimism.  Pathological tendencies, thoughts, and behaviors are brought out.  (Mercury opposite Saturn, Mars trine Pluto)

Monday, May 6
Strong and deep emotions may help incite developments today.  Little understood motivations may help bring about profound changes, depending on how conscientiously actions they cause are executed.  (Venus sesquiquadrate Pluto)

March 2024: A World without Equinoxes or Solstices

In March we come to the Vernal Equinox, when for about a month night and day are of about equal length, hence the word equinox.  There is one day when they are exactly equal and that is the Vernal Equinox, March 20. It is thereafter that one starts to gain dominance, for the Northern Hemisphere it is the day, while in the Southern it is night.  For the Southern their part of the globe actually moves away from the sun, hence the decreased light.
