Astrology for the Week of Nov 2, 2009

The big event in the skies this week is the planet Neptune reversing direction, called a station.  Actually Neptune is one of the planets we can’t see with the naked eye but it is a nicely colored dot in a telescope if you have one, and if you have a multimillion dollar spacecraft it looks very pretty passing by.

When Neptune is activated astrologically you can typically expect a few things:

• Feelings will be strong of almost unearthly beauty and rapture and any amount of personal projection may be going on, i.e. it is not “real”, it is more our hopes and expectations than what is really there;
• Deceitful, dishonest, or delusory behaviors are touched off in people;
• Physical vitality can be mysteriously at a low point, which can cause chronic conditions to flare.
• Creativity, intuition and spirituality are stimulated, as well as the rising of compassion for others.
• The ego shrinks somewhat and we are able to see better the interconnectedness of all things.

So on Tuesday, November 4, 2009, you may see people pronouncing things which they believe with all their heart, like for instance “there will be a public option in the health insurance bill” but it is deluded from the start.  Or maybe “the US wants peace for Pakistan” said while we are bombing them with drone aircraft.  You could even hear thing like “the US economy is moving towards recovery”.  Everybody desperately wants to believe these things, but just hoping that they will happen will not be enough.

There could be manifestations in extreme cases such as chemical or oil spills, or even things like floods or things having to do with gases.  In some cases people just step right up and lie, embodying the absolute worst that Neptune can deliver. With Neptune though many times you’ll see people acting deceitfully because they think they are doing “God’s work”.

Monday, Nov 2
Situations of urgency and alarm continue from yesterday; impatience may be amplified.  Anger and agitated emotions could arise suddenly and with shocking impact.  Relationships and connections are highlighted, but the differences between them may be accented.  (Mars sesquiquadrate Uranus, Venus square Node, Mercury sesquiquadrate Uranus, Venus quincunx Uranus, Venus trine Neptune)

Tues, Nov 3
Today the asteroid associated with relationships switches direction.   New developments and changes are possible between people, hopefully with an emphasis on bonding.  (Juno stationary direct)

Wed, Nov 4
Neptune turns direct today; issues having to do with toxins, water or chemicals, and all types of human deceptive or deceitful behaviors are accented.  Chronic conditions may flare and energy may be mysterious absent.

Thurs, Nov 5
Mental, verbal and intellectual issues are accented, and relationships should have a good uplift.  (Sun conjunct Mercury, Venus biquintile Juno)

Fri, Nov 6
There could be in inhibiting or strongly negative influence on thoughts, words, and actions; people may not want to say something for fear of censure, etc.  Communications may have a serious tone.  In some other ways though relationships and feelings between people may be sparked, but very few agendas may be attached to them and it may not last long.  (Mercury semisquare Saturn, Venus biquintile Uranus)

Sat, Nov 7
Early on there could be some intensity and contending with obsessive thoughts; later on there could be challenges mounting in the evening, possibly over delays and obstacles.  Anxieties and pathological response habits maybe coming out over issues.  However there could be some positive social influences at the same time.  (Mercury semisquare Pluto, Sun Semisquare Saturn, Venus tridecile Jupiter)

Sun, Nov 8
Hyperbole and enthusiasm may affect communications and perceptions; inappropriate situations and actions may come about between people. Feelings will be powerful.  Physical and mechanical breakdowns are possible.  (Sun semisquare Pluto, Mercury square Pluto, Venus sextile Pluto)
