Feb 16-23, 2009: Astro-Success
by Curtis Burns,

Last week I was inspired to act upon some ideas that were floating around in the back of my head: a weekly graphical transit weighing system that allows a person to see what’s happening "at a glance"

Astrology for this Week

A couple of days ago I woke up and not two minutes after that a thought came to me: I should write out this "transit weighing" system that has been floating around in the back of my head for about the last year or so.  When you get out of bed, your subconscious mind delivers a little info-direction-packet to you and it is best to act on it.

So while at an astrology meetup a couple days later I was hammering the system out on a piece of paper; it may have looked a little inconsiderate to the people around me but I was listening and working this out simultaneously.  This little system of mine is very simple based on planets, aspects, signs, and dignity; and it allows a simple graphical picture of the week to be created.

You can see this with the graph I created for this week based on this system below; the Mars biquintile Saturn and Sun sextile Pluto aspects on Saturday Feb 21, show up  well in high relief.  This system will be tweaked over the next couple of weeks and months, but I hope it is effective.

Astrology for this Week

This week is characterized by the subsiding of the powerful Mars/Jupiter/Rahu conjunction of Monday and Tuesday, with some placid days in between followed up by some pretty heavy astrology on Saturday and Sunday with Saturday being the "worst".

Mon, Feb 16/Tue, Feb 17
Amplified energy, motivation and enthusiasm will mark Monday and Tuesday; along with amplified bluster, boasting, and human gregariousness.  So if you’re not careful you may trip over some new opportunity without even trying, but for every ten opportunities shouting for your attention you may find one golden one.  +5 Points: Easy (Mars conjunct Jupiter conjunct North Node sextile Venus)

Wed, Feb 18

Obsessive pessimism may be activated, which in others is more of a determined realism; and the energies of attraction between the sexes will be enhanced.  -3 Points: Difficult (Mercury sesquiquadrate Saturn, Venus sextile Mars)

Thur, Feb 19
No peaking influences

Fri, Feb 20
No peaking influences

Sat, Feb 21

This could be a pivotal day of sorts, we have to make choices with limited resources and opportunities no matter how much we want to do certain other things.  This is of course where excess desire (as a materialistic/egoist thing) needs to be trimmed; but today the wiley influences of the ego may still bring trouble yet.  Compulsive behaviors may be brought to light.  -16 Points: Difficult (Sun sextile Pluto, Mars biquintile Saturn)

Sun, Feb 22
Communicative associations should come about, exchanging important information. Thoughts about destiny, karma, and spirituality should be subjects.  -2 Points: Difficult (Mercury conjunct North Node)

Mon, Feb 23
No peaking influences

March 2024: A World without Equinoxes or Solstices

In March we come to the Vernal Equinox, when for about a month night and day are of about equal length, hence the word equinox.  There is one day when they are exactly equal and that is the Vernal Equinox, March 20. It is thereafter that one starts to gain dominance, for the Northern Hemisphere it is the day, while in the Southern it is night.  For the Southern their part of the globe actually moves away from the sun, hence the decreased light.
