December 2016 Predictions: Surfing a Tidal Wave
by Curtis Burns,

The first couple weeks of December 2016 are relatively sleepy as far as the astrology is concerned, then the final week of 2016 closes with some foundation-shaking developments.  If this year has been anything for you like it has been for myself and my family, then it could be an equally developmental ending.

December Mars Jupiter Uranus

There will be some fireworks between Jupiter, Uranus and Mars right after Christmas Day and then Uranus makes its directional shift (retrograde to direct) as Mars conjoins with the Moon’s South Node (Ketu) over the 27th and 29th.

This configuration also re-ignites the ongoing-but-past-us Jupiter, Uranus, Pluto t-square, which has had such a deep impact on our affairs.

These are highly excitable planets astrologically and the fevered pitch of the energies of this release could exceed the present boundaries of what we call “safe” or “comfortable”.  But if we can ride that wave, we can go far indeed.

Some astrologers have predicted market crises.  Market reactivity is pretty short-lived and basically has not had much effect over the long course of things.  I should think that markets should be quite exuberant with Trump’s White House and Republican-controlled Congress taking over.

This is not to say that conditions won’t be strained to be breaking point, like in European zones with their immigrant problems, economic austerities, and political upheavals.  They could become very reactive and some of that could spill over across the Atlantic to the calmer (more dreamy) US.

Race tensions domestically in the US, a symptom of the ever-growing wealth inequality and overall economic decline for the nation, could certainly be inflamed, especially by some event.  Tension against the President Trump, at that point bound for the White House, may boil over and the incoming administration gets preliminary experience in crisis-management.

According to my Trump Administration Astrology article, this administration could be in perpetual conflict as it is, so their handling of this astrology and similar situations in the future will be telling.

With Mars, Uranus, and Jupiter together the key words are unpredictability, shock, and disruption.

We’re accustomed to think that disruption is a bad thing.  In the bigger perspective though disruption is a very good thing.  You see humans can be a stubborn and resistant herd, blocking the path towards evolutionary progression. Eventually something has to come along and move, push, or kick us out of our fearful paralysis and back into the race.  Nothing short of a catastrophe is going to do the job.

Enter Mars, Uranus and Jupiter at the end of this year.
Some people think that Fate hates them. I think though that Fate gives us a fair chance, and then when we refuse to follow the gentler voices emotionally, mentally or physically, eventually it comes along and spanks us good.

I don’t want to alarm you though because while this hard aspect configuration is happening, there will also be a trine of Saturn to Uranus, serving to calm down significantly the potential upheavals, you can see the Moon trine to it as well.

THEN you can see that Mars is very close to Neptune, which will be exact on January 1, 2017, adding a more colorful, hopeful, but also delusory spin to everything mentioned above.

March 2024: A World without Equinoxes or Solstices

In March we come to the Vernal Equinox, when for about a month night and day are of about equal length, hence the word equinox.  There is one day when they are exactly equal and that is the Vernal Equinox, March 20. It is thereafter that one starts to gain dominance, for the Northern Hemisphere it is the day, while in the Southern it is night.  For the Southern their part of the globe actually moves away from the sun, hence the decreased light.
